  3.         What do I need to run the program? In order to run the program 
  4.         the user will need the following hardware/software; 
  5.         
  6.                    IBM or 100% compatible PC,XT,AT,PS/2,386,486, 640K 
  7.                    Ram (550K FREE RAM IS REQUIRED), Floppy or Hard 
  8.                    Disk (approximately 1Meg free), Text mode display 
  9.                    (25x80), Hercules, CGA, EGA, VGA, or SVGA graphics 
  10.                    Math coprocessor is NOT required BUT RECOMMENDED, 
  11.                    (IF A COPROCESSOR IS PRESENT IT WILL BE USED), 
  12.                    PC DOS or MS DOS VERSION 3.0 or above. 
  13.  
  14.         To install the program first create a directory on your hard 
  15.         disk. Type "C:" <Enter> then "CD\" "MD\TRAK302" <Enter> to create 
  16.         a directory named C:\TRAK302. (Do not type the quotes, the <Enter> 
  17.         means press the Enter or Return key.) Next type 
  18.         "TRAK302 C:\TRAK302" <Enter>.

  20.         This will place the program file into the C:\TRAK302 directory. 
  21.         If your hardware is different substitute the required changes as 
  22.         needed. 
  23.         
  24.         Next copy ALL the files to the just created directory on your 
  25.         hard disk. That is all that is required to run the program. Read 
  26.         Chapter 2 (User Options) for additional details on user set 
  27.         options that you may want. IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU 
  28.         SET THE OUTPUT PATH IN THE TRAKSAT.INI FILE. If you do not set 
  29.         the path the program may over write output files.

  32.         Running The Program         
  33.  
  34.         To start TRAKSAT you type "TRAKSAT", without the quotation marks, 
  35.         at the DOS prompt. Several command-line options are available to 
  36.         modify the start-up of the program. See Chapter 2 for details.

  38.         If all is well the program will startup with a Tabular mode 
  39.         tracking the Mir satellite.

  42.         **** NOTE ****
  43.         TRAKSAT is a large program and can use EXPANDED and EXTENDED 
  44.         memory if it is present. It is recommended that you install 
  45.         HIMEM, load DOS high, and install EMM386 also. This is NOT 
  46.         required but can greatly enhance the program. EXPANDED memory can 
  47.         greatly speed up the program and can increase the size of element 
  48.         files used by TRAKSAT.

  50.         SUGGESTED additions to your CONFIG.SYS file (386,486 systems):

  53.          DOS=HIGH,UMB
  54.          DEVICE=EMM386.EXE ram  
  55.          FILES = 50
  56.          BUFFERS=17
  57.          STACKS=9,256
  58.  
  59.         If you do not know if you have expanded/extended memory type 
  60.         "MEM" at the DOS prompt. Below is an example output from MEM that 
  61.         displays the current memory conditions.
